- Ballistic Model: This generator utilizes a point-mass trajectory model with G1 drag curve approximations. It provides a calculated mechanical offset for initial short-range zeroing.
- Measurement Precision: 'Height Over Bore' is the most critical input. Small errors in this measurement will cause significant vertical POI shifts at extended ranges. Use calipers from the center of the bolt to the center of the optic Tube.
- Atmospheric Variables: Density Altitude is approximated based on standard ISA formulas. Extreme variations in humidity or barometric pressure not accounted for here can result in POA/POI drift.
- Zero Verification: This is an aid for mechanical alignment. You MUST perform a final zero confirmation with 3-5 round groups at your actual intended zero distance before engaging targets at range.
- Rifle Consistency: Technical tools cannot compensate for barrel harmonics, loose scope mounts, or inconsistent trigger management. Ensure all hardware is torqued to manufacturer specifications.
- Muzzle Safety: Treat every firearm as if it were loaded. Never rely on target generators to replace standard range safety protocols and common sense.
